Write for us

United Discovery welcomes clear, original pitches about architecture, building materials, construction details, urban form and the history of designed places. Proposals should help readers see a specific part of the built world with fresh understanding.

What makes a good pitch

Propose one focused subject and explain the question the piece will answer, the central point you would make and why the subject suits United Discovery. A useful pitch is specific enough to avoid a broad survey, yet accessible to readers without professional training. Practical subjects should be safe to explore without readers needing a professional or local rules check.

How to prepare it

Show how the piece will distinguish known facts from interpretation and what material can support its claims. Tell us the intended form, likely length and any relevant experience or perspective, without relying on credentials alone. We do not accept copied work or pitches built around unsupported claims.

Send a proposal

Send pitches and contribution questions through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and giving your proposal a clear subject line in the message. Please do not send a complete unsolicited manuscript unless a draft has been requested.

Our point of view

A building is more than its facade

The built world becomes easier to understand when we attend to its parts: what they do, how they fit together and what their forms reveal.
