Editorial policy
United Discovery aims to make clear, careful writing about the built world. We value accurate descriptions, transparent reasoning and an honest account of what a visible detail can and cannot tell us.
Accuracy and sources
We check factual statements against reliable material appropriate to the subject and take care with dates, terminology and descriptions of how things work. Articles explain the basis for significant claims where useful. When evidence is incomplete or an interpretation is uncertain, we say so rather than presenting a guess as fact.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for clarity and reader value, not to secure a commercial relationship. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled in its presentation. A partnership does not guarantee editorial coverage or determine the conclusions of an article.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us with the article title and the passage in question, along with any context that may help. We review correction requests and amend published material when warranted, making the change clear where its significance calls for it.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI. They are used as visual aids, not as documentary evidence of a particular building, place or historical event, and are identified when relevant to understanding the image.
A building is more than its facade
The built world becomes easier to understand when we attend to its parts: what they do, how they fit together and what their forms reveal.
